Snooze Launches Ground-Breaking Mobile Website

Melbourne, Australia (PRWEB) November 30, 2012

Snooze recently unveiled its new mobile and tablet compatible website the first of its kind in the Australian bedding market.

The new mobile-friendly website promises to give customers the best possible user experience while browsing on devices such as iPhones, Galaxy SIII and iPads.

The launch comes in response to recent insight from Snoozes website analytics that identified a trend towards shoppers using mobile devices to research products and compare prices.

Snooze Managing Director, Simon Beaty, commented, In the past year, mobile traffic on the Snooze website has increased by more than 400%. Such a significant increase in mobile website usage is impossible to ignore as a retailer.

With very few competitors using a dedicated mobile website, Snoozes solution was to develop a platform that targeted the growing tablet audience while simplifying the consumers online experience.

Snoozes mobile website allows consumers to view the whole range of Snooze products including beds, bedroom furniture, mattresses and bases. It also allows users to view the catalogue and find prices for their local stores.

In order to ensure a good user experience, Snooze has managed to translate the functionality of the desktop version of the site into the mobile version, including the store locator and wish list functionality. The wish list functionality allows shoppers on the go to choose beds and mattresses whilst on their mobile devices and later bring these lists in-store.

Mr Beaty continued, Technology is rapidly changing purchasing behaviour and the way shoppers interact with retailers. As a result and as a commitment to our customers it was important that Snooze invested in developing a tailored retail solution to suit both online and in store.

Snooze continually seeks new franchise partners to join the team as it progresses towards a target of growing its 73-strong store network to 100 over the next three years.

Along this journey, Snooze aims to extend its current offering into new markets in Tasmania and the Northern Territory, as well as additional stores across regional New South Wales, metro Sydney, Western Australia and metro Brisbane.

Yellowfin launches Storyboard, redefines information delivery paradigm for BI

(PRWEB) December 03, 2012

Yellowfins Storyboard redefines the information paradigm for communicating and acting on data, by offering a fully integrated and interactive PowerPoint-like presentation module for BI content.

Storyboards presentation-oriented User Interface (UI) enables the fact-based insight gleaned from BI to be naturally incorporated into organizational decision-making processes, while empowering a wider array of people from non data-centric backgrounds to share and benefit from BI.

By blending BI with a comprehensive presentation platform, Storyboard enables users to integrate fully interactive data-rich presentations into their natural decision-making processes, to generate an analytics culture, realize ROI and drive real fact-based action, said Yellowfin CEO, Glen Rabie.

For the most part, the way dashboards the status quo for visualizing analytical information communicate and display information has remained fundamentally stagnant, failing to adapt to the shifting user base for reporting and analytics. This of course, is a big problem, said Rabie. Storyboard will solve the problem, and change the way people consume and act on data.

Storyboard is fully integrated into the core Yellowfin application, and comes as part of a standard Yellowfin license. Users access Storyboard by logging into their Yellowfin instance via the browser and navigating to the Storyboard tab on the Yellowfin UI.

Storyboard: Core features and functionality

Like the core Yellowfin application, Storyboard is completely Web-based, allowing users to share and view Storyboard presentations anywhere, anytime. Being Web-based also ensures that all users, permitted to view a Storyboard, have access to one uniform version unlike PowerPoint.

For more detail on the features and functionality of Yellowfins Storyboard, download the Storyboard Fact Sheet: http://www.yellowfinbi.com/Document.i4?DocumentId=179578

Rich content such as images, graphics or video can be added to any slide within a Storyboard. Users can also embed fully interactive Yellowfin reports to any Storyboard slide.

This feature enables users to explore their data collectively during presentations, in conjunction with supporting material, to help contextualize its significance and underpin fundamental data-based decision-making.

Reports can be explored with the full breadth of functionality offered via the core Yellowfin application.

Storyboard is an enormously powerful tool for sharing and communicating data to people of all business backgrounds, said Rabie. As companies, we spend a lot of time and money working out how to capture information. Allowing people to connect to and share that knowledge is what good information management, and Storyboard, is all about. Its about telling stories with your data.

Applying Global Filters to a report, or set of reports, within a Storyboard allows that presentation to be viewed by multiple audiences, while ensuring they can only view the data relevant to them.

The Associated Content feature lets users add up to five secondary slides to each primary slide within a Storyboard, to help substantiate or contextualize key concepts.

Users can add entire Storyboards to a searchable list of favorites, while individual slides can be bookmarked for later reference.

Bookmark Snapshots a static, screenshot-like image allows users to take a snapshot of a report within a Storyboard slide for later reference, capturing the data within that report at that specific point in time.

Intuitive drag and drop, or click and swipe functionality allows reports, images, video or text to be easily maneuvered and resized to quickly create highly consumable and communicative presentations.

Additionally, Storyboards can be saved and archived for later reference. Storyboard archiving lets users update an existing Storyboard, while storing a copy of the previous and original Storyboards. And, Storyboard auto-save means that if a mistake or an unwanted addition is introduced, the presentation can be easily rolled-back to the previous version.

Each specific Storyboard presentation is auditable and securable. Users can monitor how many, and which, users have viewed each Storyboard. Access to each Storyboard can also be restricted to certain user types or individual users.

The ability to add notes and comments to slides allows users to insert complimentary ideas and information into their Storyboards. Individuals can add personal notes to Storyboard slides that only they can view. Comments can be private or public. Private Comments can only be viewed by the original author and selected individuals. Public Comments can be viewed by any user with permission to access that Storyboard.

Storyboard Distribution enables a specific Storyboard to be sent straight to the inbox of selected individuals, facilitating swift knowledge transfer and information sharing.

Users can also create their own Storyboard theme. Adding or changing slide themes within Storyboard enables presentations to be quickly and easily tailored to reflect corporate color schemes and branding. Those themes can be saved and shared with other users for effortless replication.

Addressing poor user adoption and high BI failure rates: Reimagining how key messages represented by data are communicated

Gartner has indicated that around 80 percent of BI projects fail, suggesting that only one in five BI programs are capable of positively impacting decision-making. Gartner cite poor communication and collaboration as the primary reasons.

Gartner also reported that only 28 percent of potential BI users within most organizations currently use the technology to make decisions, continuing to hamper ROI throughout 2011 and 2012. Recent research by TDWI and BIScorecard found that adoption rates languish at 24 and 25 percent respectively.

The failure rates of BI implementations, and persistently low user adoption rates, are reflective of our inability to reimagine the way in which we communicate the key messages represented by data, said Rabie. According to Information Masters, 75 percent of BI success is determined by factors other than data and core analytical technology so rethinking how data is presented, shared and discussed in order to enable effective decisionmaking is paramount. Storyboard addresses that need.

Storyboard will be made publicly available as part of the latest release of Yellowfin, Yellowfin 6.2. Yellowfin 6.2 will be made generally available from 7 December 2012.

Yellowfin 6.2 will be official launched in a series of Webinars throughout Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 December 2012.

Melbourne Video Productions Custom Web Video Queries Increase after YouTube Launches Shoppable Video Ads

Melbourne, Victoria (PRWEB) December 07, 2012

Earlier in November, advertising and marketing news website AdvertisingAge reported about the first glimpses of YouTubes new shoppable ad videos. This novel style of video advertising allows viewers to click on a boxed part of the screen to be taken to a retailer’s site to purchase the item. Although still in its infancy, the new video ads have created a rise in queries at Melbourne Video Production. Our clients are asking if our custom web videos are suitable for this new style of YouTube marketing, says David Jenyns, web video expert and owner of Melbourne Video Productions, And the answer is yes!

Web videos have become an integral part of the online experience, with businesses using YouTube as a way to better display and market their wares to the growing population of internet shoppers. YouTube realizes that watching web videos is easy, but the trickier part is getting the viewer to click-through to purchase what theyve just seen.

YouTube is trying to help create a clearer path to retailers check-outs through the advent of the shoppable video ad. This new type of video aims to close the gap between YouTube and the retailer, using something called annotations, which allows viewers to click on boxed areas of the videos to purchase an item.

Melbourne Video Production’s director and web video expert, David Jenyns states that even though the shoppable video ads are still in their infancy, Theyre [YouTube] are only going to improve the technology to make them more and more viable to online businesses.

David goes on to say the new-fangled and clickable videos are a little cumbersome, as they stand right now, they dont allow the viewer to have a completely smooth shopping experience while the video is playing, because the video stops once they click to buy. David remarks that once YouTube contrives a way to keep the video streaming while allowing the viewer to purchase, It wont be long before these ads are the only way people shop online.

Many businesses see the value in YouTube offering shoppable video ads, and the interest has created a buzz amongst web video experts like David.

Davids custom web video company, Melbourne Video Production has received a considerable increase in queries in relation to their products being applicable to this new style of advertising.

Because were a fully professional video production company, continues David, were able to create custom web videos that will work perfectly with this new style of shoppable ad.

David further emphasizes that using web videos, even without YouTubes new annotation technology, will improve a sites conversion. Its becoming a known fact that the use of web videos is one of the easiest ways to knock down hurdles for buyers, David says, On its own, a web video increases a websites conversion rate, regardless of if its a product or service business. And once YouTube tweak their shoppable video ads, that conversion rate will soar.

David also notes that Melbourne Video Production offers three web video packages, as well as custom video and studio hire options. To learn more about Melbourne Video Productions custom web video services, click here.

Direct Salon Equipment Launches Revamped Website Aimed at Improving User Experience

Coburg North, VIC, Australia (PRWEB UK) 9 December 2012

Salon furniture and equipment store Direct Salon Equipment (DSE) recently released their redesigned website. The redesign is aimed at making the site easier to navigate and more appealing to the eye.

The new design allows browsers to see product pictures in a moving slide on our homepage. Weve also made it easier for people to navigate our site by adding a very visible button that allows them to browse all our products, said Pat Liapis, Owner of Direct Salon Equipment.

In general, the new website uses a lot of free space in its design. This helps users focus on important areas of the site so that they can find the information they need more easily. In addition, weve added a blog to offer value-added information to salon owners, continued Liapis.

Aside from salon equipment and furniture, Direct Salon Equipment also offers salon furniture for children.

Some salons like to install child sized salon chairs so they can get the kids to stay put for a haircut. We thought it was a great idea, so we offer three different styles of salon stools in a child size, said Liapis.

Aside from their online storefront, Direct Salon Equipment also operates a showroom that is accessible by appointment only.

The showroom is located at Unit 20, 25-27 Hocking Street, Coburg North.

DSE also offers a 12 month warranty on all non-electrical items they manufacture. For electrical items, they offer a 6 month warranty.

Salon owners who want ideas on the layout of their space can also consult a designer at DSE to help them optimise their floor plan.

Weve found that salon owners really like this service since they get to leverage our design experience to speed up the process of creating a new salon, said Liapis.

For salons that do not want to buy their equipment outright, DSE offers equipment for lease.

Some owners like to go with our leases since it provides tax benefits and helps their cash flow, said Liapis.

Salon owners can go to Direct Salon Equipment to buy high quality salon equipment and furniture.

About Direct Salon Equipment

Direct Salon Equipment (DSE) strives to be the ultimate source of salon furniture and equipment for all of Australia. CuraLase Global, Inc. Launches a New Website

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (PRWEB) February 06, 2013

Locally owned CuraLase Global, Inc. is launching a new website, http://www.curalase.com. For those seeking an effective treatment for the pain associated with many conditions, the new website will be a valuable tool to find answers to their questions. Including the frequently asked question of how this new laser technology works. The conditions treated at CuraLase are often the cause of chronic pain. The laser effectively alleviates this pain. Conditions treated include: back pain, cervical pain, sciatica, knee pain, fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, carpal tunnel, neuropathy, hip pain, plantar fasciitis, post-herpetic neuralgia, and shoulder/rotator cuff pain. The new website was designed to be easily navigated and user friendly. According to Roger Porter, President and CEO of CuraLase Global, Inc., the new website will provide individuals suffering from chronic pain a tool to help them understand their condition and to find CuraLase an avenue to get their quality of life back.

New Locations For CuraLase

The new website, http://www.curalase.com, provides information on three new locations as well as the Myrtle Beach location that opened in March 2006. Dr. Ken Wenz of CuraLase/Laser Med Center in Myrtle Beach, SC has an extensive background in the treatment of pain. CuraLase in Shenandoah opened in April 2012 in Shenandoah, TX. Dr. Sabrina Lahiri, of CuraLase in Shenandoah, is a board certified surgeon. CuraLase in Melbourne opened in September 2012 in Melbourne Beach, FL. Dr. Susan Pinsky of CuraLase in Melbourne has been a practicing physician for over 25 years and has won numerous awards. CuraLase in Mt. Pleasant opened in October 2012 in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Dr. Bill Greene of CuraLase in Mt. Pleasant is a board certified physician.

About CuraLase Technology

CuraLase technology is a non-invasive therapy to alleviate the pain associated with many conditions. This laser technology elevates tissue temperature which increases the permeability and elasticity of the cells, allowing fluid trapped between the cells (inflammation) to be removed thru the bodys natural waste process. Often, this allows immediate relief of joint pain and an improved range of motion. The underlying condition is treated thereby resolving the pain. With an 87% success rate and over 6,000 patients treated, CuraLase is a welcome alternative to other treatments. Nicole Hadjadj-Kerr, the clinical director for CuraLase in Melbourne, stated that the future of CuraLase is most exciting because of the ability to actually help patients become pain-free as opposed to managing pain.

Specialist printing company Barneys Print Management has just launched a brand new website, including an educational web video area called Barneys Uni. The new site was created with the focus of providing customers with unparalleled product support and education. The focal point for our refreshed site is to better support and educate our clients by providing them with free helpful video tutorials,” says Garry Barnett, owner of Barney’s Print Management, “were more than just a printer, were an educator.

Whether big or small, time is usually scarce for businesses trying to organize and execute a marketing campaign. Finding enough hours in the day to complete normal tasks is already hard enough, so adding the chores of sourcing products and materials, following-up deadlines, managing delivery and launching the finished product, is well beyond reasonable expectation for most. But thats where Barneys Print Management steps in, allowing marketing departments across Australia to take a deep breath.

Garry Barnett, the owner of Barneys Print Management, created the company because he recognized the need for companies to have a central contact point for all their printing and marketing requirements. Being a specialist printer with a singular port of call, Barney’s doesn’t just save businesses time, but money as well.

To better present their one-stop print shop services, Barneys Print Management just launched a rejuvenated website, revolving around useful product support and educational videos.

Our new site allows us to help our clients more than ever before, says Garry. He also states that the website doesnt just inform clients of their wide range of products and services, but also allows them to learn more about our business, our guarantee, and our processes.

With so many years of experience behind them, Garry and his team are not only experts in their field, but also eager educators. Garry remarks, Were more than just a printer because we give clients all the education they need about printing and marketing. What helps them inevitably helps us.

Instead of only text content, much of the sites valuable information can be viewed via web video, which further enables the learning process for all. In particular, within the Barneys Uni area, clients can discover everything from how to install a window decal, to what unique marketing materials are now available, such as trading cards and cardboard cut-outs.

Customers can also view Barney’s Print Managements end-to-end process video; whereby Garry explains the method which converts overwhelming marketing and printing procedures into their time and money saving system. The expert print manager has also integrated a 7-stage quality control process into every single job, which gives both their weekly and occasional customers complete peace of mind.

Having such effective processes in place, combined with such a high level of customer care, Garry says Barneys is an extension of their [customers] marketing department. And even though they have all the power behind them to fuel campaigns for large companies, we’re quite boutique in our customer approach. Each client gets personal service and attention.

Whether getting a free printing quote, enquiring about a major marketing campaign, or just wanting to learn what technical printing jargon means, Barney’s Print Management website covers it all.
